The son is shown on a medium view dipping his head and pulling up a small fish and eating it

The father is then shown getting a catch from a medium view, and then a close up on his surprised face

The father is shown from far away getting pulled out of his seat and to the edge

A close up on his face looking terrified then a close up on his feet toes to the edge of the water

Then a medium shot shown of the father leaning over the water trembling and straining to stay out of the water and hold the rod

Then you see the father let go and the shot zooms out and you see a shadow of a large fish

A close up on the fathers scared face then a medium of him waving his arms in the air to his son.

His son notices and looks down and the camera tilts down and you see the fishes shadow

Then you see a medium shot of the son trying to fly away and the fish biting onto his foot pulling him back down

The shot goes to a long shot of the son flailing and the father looking on panicked

Then a medium shot of the father trying to reach to his son, then another shot of him trying to reach with his rod

Then a close up on the father looking down at vest then the water

Then he pulls a string on his vest and a duck inner tube pops out, close up on the inner tubes face

Then the father is seen from a medium view jumping into the water

Then a long shot dream like of him in a large water all around scene

Then close up of him snapping out of it and a medium view of him swimming to his son

Then a long shot from below (fishes view) of the father and raft looking huge

Then a medium shot of the father getting knocked out of his tube and into the air

Father and Son Fishing
The scene is a lake in a forest like surrounding, on a nice day, the sun is out and the sky is blue.There is a father and son at the lake, the father is on the bank fishing rod in hand and the son is in the lake off the shore swimming around. The father casts his rod and sits to wait, while the sonswims around and dips his head into the water and come up with a little fish in his mouth and then flipsit up and swallows. Then the son gestures to the dad to get into the lake with him, but the father shakeshis head no. The son splashes the father and the father gets hit and looks scared and obviously doenst like the water. Then the father gets a bite on his line. Its a big one and it pulls the father twords the lake. he has his toes to the edge ofthe lake and is leaning over trying his best not to fall into the lake. right as it looks like hes aboutto fall in he lets go of his rod, and looks at the water terrified. the father backs up from the lake as you can seethe large fish start to swim around and circle his son. the son notices and tries to fly up but before he can get muchout of the water you see the huge fish latch onto his foot and pull him under. the father looks stunned. the baby popsback up but is obviously in trouble. the father looks around paniced, gets close to the water looks at it and starts to tremble in fear.he then takes a deep breath as u see him reach onto his vest and pull a string. just then aninflateable duck raft pops out of his vest and the father jumps into the water. the scene zooms out on the father swimmingin an infinate amout of water like an ocean. the father shakes his head and begins to paddle out to his son. he gets close and then from a fishes view you see the father and his huge looking raft. so the fish lets go of the son to go after thehuge duck which is the raft. the fish comes from below the father at full speed knocking him out of the raft high into the air.you see the fish is now stuck in the raft and flailing about. the father comes falling down and lands into the waterright next to his son. his son is happy as the father looks around and takes notice that he is swimming and his son is safe.

Go fishing and keep his son safe

Need is internal - the internal deficiency in the character that needs to be corrected

He cant swim and is scared of the water

3. What is the difficult choice the character is having to make? What is the central dilemma?

He needs to get in the water to save his son but at the same time will be risking his own well being

4. Using the concept of Projection as described in the DVD, if you go inside the head of the character, what is the worst thing that can happen (face their worst fear)? What is the psychological obstacle?

Worst thing is he has to go into the water and possibly drown. he is psychological scared about getting in the water

5. What/who is the antagonist? How does the antagonist embody the inner conflict of the protagonist?

The antagonist is the water and the fathers fear of it is embodyed literally in the water

6. What is the relationship between the antagonist and the protagonist?

The protagonist get his food from the antagonist but the antagonist is risking his sons life

7. Describe the character arc - the need drives the story - can't get the goal because of inner conflict - character must overcome internal problem before they get the goal. You have to hit bottom before coming back up.

The father is afraid of water, and cannot swim, but his son is drowning and the only way to save him is to get into the water and try to save him, so he must overcome his inner conflict of being afraid of the water, and try his best to swim to save his son

8. What is the climax of your story?

the father after trying everything he can besides getting in the water decides the he must face his fear and put his life on the line to save his son

9. Describe the resolution? The resolution comes after the BIG choice has been made - it is the aftermath.

the father jumps into the water to save his son he get to his son and pushes/throws him twords the shore saving his life, father goes under and can be seen crawling out onto the shore

10. The theme is how they resolve the dilemma. What is the theme of your story? the theme is that family is important and that the father would face his worst fear and risk his life in order to save his sons life

Paragraph

Paragraph-

The scene opens on a lake setting about mid morning. A father duck clad in fisherman attire carrying his pole comes walking up with his son. The approach the lake and sit to begin to fish. The son throws a rock in the lake splashing the dad causing a quick flashback of the dad not being able to swim and almost drowning in the lake. It cuts back to the scene at the lake where the father looks frazzled but shakes it off and starts to fish with his son. The son gets a nibble, and stands to reel it in, but is yanked into the middle of the lake by the fish, and the son beings to splash about having a hard time staying a float. The father jumps to his feet scared and runs along the shore, he tries to reach to his son but his son is obviously too far out, the father looks around and picks ups his pole and tries to reach it to his son but it too is short. He goes to cast the reel to get his son but notices the pointy hook and drops the rod. The father with no other options in sight, takes a deep breath and jumps into the lake to save his son. The father struggles but gets to his son just as his sons head falls under the water. He holds his son and then and sighs in relief as the scene zooms out on the father holding his son and swimming to the shore.

A father duck needs to overcome his fear of water, to save his son.

1. Father duck can be seen around the pond showing actions of being afraid of the water.

2. His Son Is out in the middle of the lake dancing around on a rock.

3. The son slips and falls into the water, and because hes so young starts flailing around

4. Father duck panics and finds something to throw to his son but it is not long enough to reach

5. the son can be seen struggling and goes under

6. the father panics more runs around, then bravens up and jumps in after his son.

7. the father realizes water isint so bad and can be seen teaching his son to swim.
